Learn about exciting topics, like how to go above and beyond in your career, travel while teaching, and instructional strategies to creating your dream classroom. After her presentation, the leftover time will be used for the opportunity for YOU to ask questions about becoming an AWESOME teacher.

On Sunday, November 12th FROM 1:30 – 4:30 pm, we will have our BIGGEST Professional Development event of the semester. On Sunday, we have MOCK INTERVIEW PREP NIGHT! This is an awesome opportunity to get interview practice and feedback in a relaxed setting. You can use this time to get interviewed, and then ask follow up questions on how you did throughout the interview. This is a great opportunity to learn your strengths and weaknesses related to interviewing. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS AND SENIORS!! It is never too early to start your interview preparations! Bring yourself and your resume!

GENERAL MEETING… Sunday, October 22nd at 5PM
BUT, BEFORE THE MEETING, JOIN KDP AT UNCLE JOHN’S CIDER MILL!
We will be heading to Uncle John’s Cider Mill for a Social. You can earn one point for attending. We will meet in the Erickson parking lot AT 3:00 and drive from there. We will be back in time for the general meeting.

Friday, October 20th Kappa Delta Pi will be walking in Michigan State University’s homecoming parade!
Here are the details you need to know for the parade:
Parade Participant Parking and Shuttle: Parking will be available for parade participants in the St. Thomas Aquinas parking lot off of Old Hickory Road in East Lansing, MI (see map). A shuttle will be available to take you to the staging area at the Hannah Community Center. Parking will not be available at Hannah Community Center. Following the parade’s conclusion, there will be a shuttle available in the driveway next to the MSU Planetarium to take you back to the St. Thomas Aquinas parking lot to your vehicle.
Parade Route & Flow: The parade will begin at the intersection of Abbot Road and Burcham Drive at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, will travel south on Abbot Road, east on Grand River, south at Farm Lane, and will conclude at the corner of Farm and Shaw Lanes. Groups should maintain a distance of 2-3 car lengths between parade groups throughout the parade route.
Kappa Delta Pi will also be volunteering at the Alumni Association tailgate on Saturday, October 21st from 1:30-3:30pm. The location of the tailgate is still TBD.
